Number 8: Shadow of the Vampire

Shadow of the vampire follows a great WHAT IF? tale, and that is "What if the actor that portrayed Count Orlock was a real vampire? So the Director Played by John Malkovich  is obssesed in his movie and goes to great lengths in giving the audience a realism that has never been seen in any film so he finds Max Schrek played by Willem Dafoe to play Count Orlok.

Prepare your Anus!

But Max is indeed a real Nosferatu and he is a dark and brooding character that interacts with the cast of the movie all the while the cast not knowing he is a true vampire thinking that he is in character that he never takes his make up of in the entire filming process. While many of the crew start getting sick in the midst of filming thanks to mister Schrek . So the crew start to back out of the project but the director is insisting in carrying on with the film and actually allows Max Schrek to feed infront of the camera in a climactic scene.
This is really a great twist to the remake of Nosferatu and its a movie that you should not miss out on.

  3. I saw bits and pieces of this movie years ago. It wasn't to bad. No idea it was Willem Dafoe though, that just adds to his great and crazy acting ability.

  8. Hey man.
I'm not reading the text only because I am too inebriated.
But that's a Nosferatu right? (Sorry if the spelling is wrong?)
    And it's a movie?
I don't really DO vampires. But I do enjoy your buzz and all and I just wanted to reply to your comment on Erika's blog on my post you know asking how I was and all.
And yeah. I'm good. I hope you are too.
I'd love to sit down one day you and me and we could talk about vampires - or I mean you could talk because I find it all kind of fascinating that you have all these clans and stuff and like questions like do they know eachother? Or are they all mutually exclusive?
    Maybe some day.

Until then. I will TRY (I promise) to keep on track with your learnings here.

  23. shadow of the vampire is not a remake of the nosferatu movie.
the movie nosferatu, tells the original story of bram stoker's dracula.
shadow of the vampire, is based on the rumours regarding the filming of nosferatu. it was said that the actor in nosferatu was a real vampire, since he only came to filmings at night and already personified as dracula. so shadow of the vampire is like the backstage of nosferatu.
